The Beach Boys Good Vibrations Tour

1976 • 0h 50m

The Beach Boys were the most successful American pop group of the sixties, producing a string of classic singles and albums. After a difficult period in the early seventies, the original line-up of brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and long-standing friend Al Jardine, regrouped in 1976 and released a new studio album 15 Big Ones. This program combines full live performances of their greatest hits from the Anaheim Stadium, with band interviews and wonderful sequences including Dennis Wilson judging a beauty pageant, Carl Wilson flying a plane, and Brian Wilson being arrested for violation of the surf code by the original Blues Brothers, Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi, in the guise of highway patrolmen.

From the three Wilson brothers singing a song about their father to the full band harmonizing with a gospel choir, this program is full of gems—but above all, it is the five original Beach Boys performing fantastic versions of their best known songs.
